Food makes me HAPPYYYYY *Pharrell Voice*.

Yes, I constantly complain about needing to lose weight (sorry, I’m one of those women), but ultimately I end up eating everything in sight! This time was no different. I had the great pleasure of attending a birthday brunch (Happy  29th on the 29th Jessica!) at Tysons Galleria located at 1796 International Drive, Mclean, VA 22102. Take a look at one of my new favorites from good old faithful:

THAI GLAZED SALMON: Pan-Seared in a Thai-Coconut Cashew Sauce with Vegetables and White (I substitute in Brown) Rice

DELICIOUS!! I’D GIVE IT 5/5 STARS!

What do you get when you mix a headstrong Jamaican and a fly ass Brooklynite? ME! A Jamerican that LOVES soca! Don’t get me wrong, I’m Jamaican: of course I love reggae and dancehall, but it’s something about soca that “gives me powers”!

The best part about this whole Trinidad Carnival experience, was that I got to experience it with my right hand (wo)man, my bestfran Tiz!!

We’ve traveled many cities together and chipped and wined in plenty of carnivals…but no other experience has compared to this trip. The culture, the music, the food, the island itself is breathtaking. 6 days of Trini Heaven and I was instantly in love with the place and people. I literally cried at the airport when I had to board back to the states 😩

Sweet TnT 🇹🇹 will forever hold a place in my heart that can’t be replaced.

Who let me become an adult?!

So, let me be honest. At 20 & some change (…ok, A LOT of change) I am not exactly where I thought I’d be in life. And you know what? I’m okay with that!  Well, maybe not completely okay with that, buttttttttttt  I’m learning it’s okay for life to steer you off course and directly into traffic…head on. No need to panic. It’s all a part of growth and development and finding my “forever” moments along the way. Lately I’ve been looking into different aspects of life and how I can grow internally as a person, woman, child of God, friend, lover, sister, etc.

I’m fully embracing what it means to be an adult and excited about growing and “adulting” (lol). So far so good  (if I must say so myself).

Along this journey, I want to include you ALL. Celebrate my HIGHS with me, see me survive my lows, and have fun with me through all the in between moments!

So again, WELCOME!
