What do you get when you mix a headstrong Jamaican and a fly ass Brooklynite? ME! A Jamerican that LOVES soca! Don’t get me wrong, I’m Jamaican: of course I love reggae and dancehall, but it’s something about soca that “gives me powers”!

The best part about this whole Trinidad Carnival experience, was that I got to experience it with my right hand (wo)man, my bestfran Tiz!!

We’ve traveled many cities together and chipped and wined in plenty of carnivals…but no other experience has compared to this trip. The culture, the music, the food, the island itself is breathtaking. 6 days of Trini Heaven and I was instantly in love with the place and people. I literally cried at the airport when I had to board back to the states 😩

Sweet TnT 🇹🇹 will forever hold a place in my heart that can’t be replaced.
